Meet The Team

• David Pengelly

  

  David started working on Volvo’s back in 1982 at Speeds of Mapperley as an apprentice.
  
  After working at various Volvo Dealerships for over 10 years, David moved to Lucas Autocentres for a couple of years before starting his own business in 1995 and creating David Pengelly Autocare Ltd.

• Vanessa Pengelly

  

  Vanessa and David have been together nearly 30 years.
  
  Originally employed as a Retail Manager for W.H.Smith, Vanessa started working with David in 2006 as receptionist and book keeper.

• Lauren Pengelly

  Service Advisor

  

  Meet Lauren Pengelly. She is the daughter of David and Vanessa and joined in May 2019.
  

• Joe Potter

  Tecnician and MOT tester

  

  Joe started as an apprentice in 2011 and has completed his NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and also become a qualified MOT tester.
  
  He now has 13 years of Volvo experience.
  
  Joe has also become an Army Reservist and has recently achieved his Para Reserve status!

• Atlas De ville

  Technician and MOT tester

  Atlas joined DPA back in 2020 and has an extensive knowledge of Volvo's. He currently owns 3 Volvo's.
  Atlas also recently completed his MOT tester course with us.

• Wes Gearon

  Technician and MOT tester

  Wes joined DPA in 2023 and has just completed his MOT tester course.
  He previously used to work on Saabs so brings more knowledge to the team.

• Toby

  Assistant Receptionist

  

  This is Toby, a familiar sight in our reception since starting work with his mum Lauren Pengelly last July. If you enjoy a good cuddle, he's your dog!
  Toby has now been joined by Peach, another rescue lurcher. Unfortunately, you wont see much of her as she is extremely timid and stays behind the reception.

• Maddie The Dog

  

  Unfortunately we lost Maddie recently but we do have Toby, another stray lurcher who has found his forever home with us.
